Maharishi's last wish for the world...

On January 11, 2008, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi publicly announced that he was "retiring into silence." He said he would be "closing his designed duty" to his spiritual master, Guru Dev and that he had one last message:

"Live long the world in peace, happiness, prosperity, and freedom from suffering.

The future of the world is bright.

That is my delight!"

Maharishi passed to the other side of life a short time later, on February 5, 2008. For over 50 years Maharishi brought forth blessings from his teacher Guru Dev and shared these glories, worldly and divine, with all of us who love life. We thank you for these gifts, Maharishi. You have given us so much and brought such happiness into our lives. For this we can only say what we have always said, repeating after you with thankfulness...~Jai Guru Dev
